After nearly four hours of continuous work, I present to you, my new Xbox 360. She's a beast now LOL. I ran into a few snags and had to revise my plans, but all in all, it came out as planned. Here's what she got (some of this is just cut and pasted from my last post to save time because I am tired): -
XCM 360 Chameleon Case w/ X window and 7-color morphing lights. -
Talismoon Whisper Fan. More air flow, quieter operation, and green LEDS! -
XCM Smooth As Silk Lighted Wireless Controller Cases in Black. These are FULL case replacements with LEDS in ALL buttons except D-Pad and Thumbsticks. -
NME-360 v1.2 Modchip by Team-Underdog. This thing has not been on the market but a few days. Most retailers do not even have it in stock yet. -
An external plug for SATA connection to both hard drives and the DVD drive. This lets my plug my hard drives and DVD drive up to my computers SATA controller without taking it out the case. -
Tweaked heatsinks and better thermal paste. (Only Arctic Silver for me!) -
internally mounted 160 gig USB connected laptop hard drive. Great supplement to the Official 20 gig hard drive ;) -
Internally mounted Microsoft Wifi Adapter Again, I mounted nearly EVERY compnent internally. Removing the cases and hard wiring them into the motherboard. I ran into a snag on the mounting of internal components initially... At first, I had the NME-360 and the XCM Light Controller mounted to the back of the DVD drive. This had to be modified though because the new fan shroud would knock against the NME-360 modchip. I simply relocated the chip to the top of the drive so that it is visible through the X shaped window. This is where I should have put it initially to show off the chip. I'm probably going to Ebay this one to build a new one with the brand new XCM red case and controllers. If anyone is interested in this one, make me a reasonable offer. Before making an offer, please keep in mind the price of parts.
